Registered Nurse (Head Nurse-Acute Care) in St Paul, Alberta

Reporting to the Nursing Manager Acute Care, this position is responsible for the overall planning, direction, supervision, coordination, and evaluation of Acute Care services within the facility. The Head Nurse utilizes the nursing process, critical thinking and problem solving skills to provide care to clients across the life span. The Head Nurse ensures the development, implementation and ongoing administration of the client care plans. The Head Nurse assesses, coordinates, supervises, administers and evaluates the provision of health services and healthcare resources. The Head Nurse accepts responsibility for continuing competencies through ongoing professional development, including participation in education programs, research and continuous quality activities.
